Hector Verduzco is a National Board Certified Teacher who has been working for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) for the last 10 years. Hector was recently named LAUSD teacher of the year for 2016-2017. Hector has been both a technology teacher and technology coordinator at several school sites. Hector is currently teaching Computer Science, New Media and Architecture at East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy. Hector is also overseeing the 1:1 deployment of Surface Pro 3 devices at his site. Hector oversees technology professional development, logistics of the 1:1 program and instructional technology integration across the curriculum.
Hector has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Production Technology. In addition, Hector has earned two Masters Degrees, one in New Media & Production and another in Computer Education & Technology Leadership. Hector is currently a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and a Microsoft Certified Educator. On his time off he is a Microsoft Innovative Educator trainer and NCCE Professional Learning Specialist. Hector enjoys the opportunity of sharing and learning from fellow educators as a Microsoft Innovative Educator trainer and NCCE Professional Learning Specialist.
