Renetta Williams

My name is Renetta Williams and I am native of Orlando, Florida. I am a mother of a beautiful 2-year-old named Paityn who keeps me on my toes. As a classroom teacher for over 4 years I have inspired students in grades K-7 to reach their highest potential in learning. I later moved on to continue my love for education outside of the traditional brick and mortar classroom.  I served as the Director of Education for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF). In this role, I provided afterschool supplemental education to the local clubs for students’ grades K-8th. One of my successful contributions in this role was bringing STEM learning into the afterschool programs.

After fulfilling this role, I later relocated to Albany, GA to take on the role as Director for Drop Back in Academy. In this role, I oversaw the recovery of high school drop outs in the Dougherty County School District. This program allowed high school drop outs ages 16-22 to earn their high school diploma through online credit recovery classes. The program not only encouraged students to go back to school but it also increased the District’s graduation rate. After moving back to Orlando in 2014 I began my journey as an MIE Ambassador. I have had the opportunity to speak at conferences such as Microsoft’s MGX, Cengage Learning and FETC. My focus is to help educators understand how to effectively leverage technology to bring about learning outcomes though using Microsoft solutions.
