Stephanie Barber is a native of Great Falls, South Carolina. She attended the Great Falls schools for elementary, middle and high school. Stephanie earned a bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in Early Childhood Education in 1993 and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from University of South Carolina in 1996. She became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2001 and was Teacher of the Year at GFE in 2002. She renewed her National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education in 2011. Stephanie assisted in completing the application for her school to become a Microsoft Pathfinder School in 2012.

After 18 years in the classroom teaching second grade, kindergarten, K-1 Transition, and first grade, Stephanie decided that she wanted to impact more students' lives by pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University in 2012.  Stephanie attended the Microsoft Innovative Educator Global Forum in Prague, Czech Republic in 2012. In 2013, Stephanie became a Microsoft Innovative Educator. Stephanie is a Literacy Coach at GFE and loves her job as an educator and cannot think of anything she would rather do! Stephanie is always researching new ways for teachers and students to use technology to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom. She also wants to share her knowledge and expertise with other colleagues.
