Michael Higley
Director of eLearning
Michael Higley has worked in the field of education since 2001 receiving his Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Middle School Education. He has experience teaching 6-8 grade computer technology, sixth grade Social Studies, as well as teaching 7/8 Reading and Language Arts. Michael went on to earn a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration where he later served as a middle school assistant principal and a technology coach for the fourth largest school district in Tennessee. Most recently he earned his doctorate in e-Learning focusing on teacher professional development using online learning applications and technology.
Michael currently works as NCCE’s Director of elearning. He enjoys working closely with administrators, teachers, students, and businesses as they learn to blend the best of face-to-face instruction with digital technology integration. Michael is a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator, a Microsoft in Education Trainer, Google for Education administrator, and digital learning application enthusiast. When Michael isn’t working one-on-one with teachers and students, he can be found featured as a Top e-Learning Author, the largest online community of professionals involved in the eLearning industry.
