Ken Shelton

Ken has worked as an Educator for over 20 years and spent most of his classroom experience teaching technology at the Middle School level. As a part of his active involvement within the Educational Technology community, Ken is an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, and a Google Certified Innovator. Ken has worked extensively at the policy level with a number of State Departments of Education, Ministries of Education, non-Profits, and was appointed to the Education Technology Task Force formed by a previous California State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Ken has also provided and continues to provide consulting support to many companies, State Departments of Education, Ministries of Education, school districts/systems Nationally and Internationally, as well as non-profits such as the California Emerging Technology Fund’s School2Home program which is designed to support closing the Achievement Gap and Digital Divide at low-performing California middle schools.

Mark Sparvell is an award winning Australian educator and leader with 30 years global experience leading improvement. Mark is curious about the role technology can play in humanizing the learning process to drive voice, choice and agency and the critical role emotional intelligence plays in learner success in school, work and life.

Mark is an ambassador for the Emotional Intelligence Society of Australia, advisor to Goldie Hawn’s MindUp Foundation, steering committee member for the Karanaga Global SEL Alliance, BETT Global Advisory Board member, founder of the SELinEdu collective (15000 members), writer, podcaster and frequent presenter. Mark is a Director of Education Marketing for Microsoft with a passion for enabling equitable education through partnerships, programs, research and product.
