Since 2008, Amanda Glover has been an elementary school teacher with Hillsborough County Public Schools. Withh a passion for STEM, she is currently focusing her learning on technology by obtaining her Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Design from the University of South Florida. At her school sites, she has been promoting school-wide culture in Instructional technology and facilitated professional learning opportunities as a Microsoft innovative Educator Expert and STEM lead teacher.
Her classroom is an opportunity for exploration and innovation as math and science students take ownership of their learning through the use of technology and fostering a STEM Mindset. Amanda has had the opportunity to present her passion and knowledge at several local and national conference such as ST4T (2017 and 2018), ISTE (2017), and MSP STEM Academy (2016 and 2017); as well as being selected as a member of the HCPS Digital Literacy Task Force which are collaboratively working with community members to implement a district wide proposal for the support of Florida’s Computer Science Standards. Through her leadership roles, she was awarded Tampa Palms Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2016-2017.
Amanda considered herself a life-long learner as she continues to grow daily by collaborating with colleagues, community members, and fellow Professional Learning Specialists at NCCE.
