Charity Nix has 13 years of experience in the field of Education, which includes 6 years as a classroom teacher and 7 years as a technology education instructional coach in the State of North Dakota. After graduating from Valley City State University, she began leading fellow educators with which she taught in incorporating technology into the curriculum. She was a leader in a state-wide initiative called TwT (Teaching with Technology) and was a mentor for teachers in the state. Additionally, she became a technology coordinator in the schools in which she taught.
After leaving the classroom, she worked for the State of North Dakota as a Regional Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) for EduTech providing professional development and support for teachers with integrating technology and project-based learning (PBL) into classrooms. She is well versed on a wide variety of educational programs, apps and tools in addition to hardware integration, including interactive white boards and mobile devices. She along with representatives from Apple conducted iPad Roadshows across the state of North Dakota. She is currently self-employed as a Technology Integration Specialist that trains both education and business professionals. She is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator and contracts with the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE) traveling nationwide providing professional development to teachers.
