Danica is a 30 year teaching veteran. She began her career in the Bethel School District, moved to Wenatchee School District and has spent the last 22 years in Anacortes School District in Washington state. She has taught grades 3-8. She has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
In 2001, Danica was a participant in the Teacher Leadership Project, a Gates grant that gave classrooms 2:1 computers. She worked as a trainer, curriculum writer, summer session lead and regional lead. Over the years, she became a leader in technology in her district. In 2016, she moved from the classroom to being a Instructional Support Specialist in technology for her district. Her work entails guiding teachers to integrate 1:1 technology into their classes.
Danica loves to learn, enjoys sharing her knowledge of technology with others, and wants to help teachers transform their teaching through technology.
