Heather Wenzler, Ph.D.

Heather WenzlerI am an educator and trainer with specialties in K-12 education, curriculum and instruction, gifted education, and educational technology. Since 2005, I have worked diligently in teaching research-based strategies to K-12 students, educators, and adult learners with the integration of technology. I have dedicated 15 years to both public schools and charter schools in the Bay Area of California. I have been a teacher of the gifted, teacher-leader, professional development provider, and classroom researcher. Currently, I am a Microsoft Learning Consultant (MLC), supporting school districts, higher education institutions, and health organizations across the country. I execute hands-on training experiences for educators, administrators, clerical staff; and I contribute significantly to projects and success plans highlighting the benefits of Microsoft EDU tools. To date, I have delivered high-quality professional development on the implementation of Microsoft products (with heightened focus on Microsoft Teams) to over 5000 education professionals around the world.

I hold 2 current teaching credentials (K-8 Multiple Subjects, 9-12 English) and in 2017 successfully defended my doctoral dissertation entitled The Flipped Classroom Model and Academic Achievement: A Pre and Posttest Comparison Groups Study published in 2017 (https://eric.ed.gov/?)id=ED578367).

I am an inducted member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, Selected by campus administration to participate among top students in a leadership program including:

  • Leadership Training Day: Trained in leadership and success skills via an introspective and interactive training session.
  • Speaker Events: Participated in seminars led by celebrities and best-selling authors on topics such as leadership, time management, and goal setting.
  • Success Networking Teams:

As an educator, I dramatically increased student literacy rates through a combination of Project-Based Learning, Hands-on learning, infusion of technology, and a self-created, research-based reading program. I revolutionized teaching practices through the introduction of and training in Google Apps for Education. I am a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Fellow, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Master Trainer, I am a Microsoft Certified Educator and a Microsoft Office Specialist – Microsoft Word 2019.
