Gary Gillespie spent the last three years as an Instructional Technology Facilitator for Spokane Public Schools. In January, he returned to the school level as a Math Coach, to support the integration of SMART Interactive Whiteboards in all middle school math classrooms across the district. He has twelve years of experience as a secondary math teacher. Gary has also developed and taught online classes for Spokane Virtual Learning for the past 7 years. Gary continues to developed, coordinated and teach professional development as well as supporting the Educational Technology Director in expanding technology use in the classroom district wide. Gary earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Lewis-Clark State College and his Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership from Portland State University.
Being a Microsoft Innovative Educator trainer has given him an opportunity for sharing and learning from fellow educators across the country in regards to infusing technology for improving instruction. In his spare time he enjoys camping, reading books, and spending time with his wife Andrea and their two girls.
