Heather Kolde
Heather Kolde Kolde is an educator for Laramie County School District #1 in Cheyenne, Wyoming which serves approximately 14,000 students with over 2,200 staff members. Heather has experience as an elementary and middle school teacher, college adjunct professor, technology integration specialist, curriculum alignment consultant, and professional development facilitator. She has served in education for over two decades in four different states in public, private and charter settings.
Currently, Heather works as a sixth-grade math, science and social studies teacher with a focus on STEAM. She is a district Mentor teacher and facilitates the learning of her colleagues in meaningful technology integration through both individual coaching and staff development opportunities. Heather is passionate about engaging students in transformational learning opportunities through technology and loves assisting fellow educators to do the same in their own classrooms to develop 21st century ready learners.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies through U.C.L.A.’s School of International Development. Additionally, she has a Master of Education and is certified to teach K-12 with a technology integration endorsement. She is an MIE Expert, ISTE certified teacher and Apple certified teacher, and Minecraft Certified Teacher Trainer and Student Ambassador Sponsor. Heather is a life-long learner and loves a challenge. In her spare time, she enjoys home-renovation, movies, and spending time with her three amazing children and two dogs.
