Professional Learning Specialist
I am a fourth-generation educator who has been in practice for nearly 20 years. A three-time Idaho Vandal, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2001, followed by a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2003, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration in 2012. I completed my Superintendent credential program in 2018 through University of Idaho as well.
My career began in Everett, WA where I taught middle school mathematics for three years before returning to my home state of Idaho. After seven more years as a middle school teacher, I made the transition to administration and have served as the principal of Prairie View Elementary in Post Falls since 2012. I also oversee the K-8 Gifted and Talented program for the Post Falls School District.
I believe we are all lifetime learners and that a growth mindset is essential for continuous professional growth. I enjoy providing educators with authentic, meaningful professional development opportunities that mirror the engaging instructional experiences great teachers facilitate for their students. I believe in meeting people “where they are” with technology.
