Kristen Brooks is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator, PBS Digital Innovator and a teacher advisor for OSMO, BrainPOP, Seesaw and CodeSpark. She is
a veteran teacher of elementary education for 24 years with the last 15 years specifically in Educational Technology and created the first K5 Technology lab and K5 iPad Lab in her district. Her educational mantra is Teaching students & teachers how to Create more than you Consume. She has presented workshops and concurrent sessions at educational technology conferences for the last 5 years, Georgia Educational Technology Conference, Future of Ed Tech Conference, Superior Tech for Teachers Conference, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and International Society for Technology Conference ISTE-Presenter. She also presented at the Apple Distinguished Educator Academy in Texas in 2017 and presents daily around her district for students and teachers in her latest role as a Districtwide K12 Instructional Technology Specialist. This year she was honored to be chosen as part of the Future of Ed Tech Conference 2019 Program Review Committee. Brooks has also been a Featured Speaker at Superior Tech 4 Teachers Conference and a featured speaker at the Newton County Technology Conference.
