Lexus Bontrager

Lexus Bontrager is a first grade teacher at Turner/Bartels K8 School in Tampa, Florida. Lexus helps students gain the 21st century skills needed to be successful in their future careers. She also equips other professionals to reach more students with the technology skills by collaborating and leading professional developments. Lexus has a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Florida and is certified to teach children pre-kindergarten to third grade. For the last four years, she has been teaching at Turner/Bartels K8 for the School District of Hillsborough County. From the beginning, she has integrated technology in to her day to day activities to engage and enhance learning. Lexus has gained in-depth knowledge of technology tools to share these platforms as a leader in her school and community. In turn, she is a Seesaw Ambassador and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert. These certifications have been awarded because of the extensive usage, trainings taken, and professional development given with these technology platforms. Lexus’ passion is to prepare students with the 21st century skills needed to be successful leaders in our future. She believes this can be done through sharing her experiences, and future learning, with other educators.
