My passion lies in empowering educators to transform their classrooms through the appropriate integration of technology, fostering a dynamic and enhanced learning environment for both students and teachers. I am driven to provide educators with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to confidently navigate the digital landscape. Guided by the joy of witnessing transformative “aha” moments in both educators and students, I am dedicated to championing the art of teaching while harnessing the power of technology to unlock new realms of educational excellence and engagement.

I started my career with a BS in Computer Science and successfully worked in the business world as a Programmer/Analyst for 20 years. I founded a computer education business (Tech-Kidz Computer Classes) to provide young students with the opportunity to learn about technology in a hands-on and engaging environment. I developed all curriculum, teaching methodologies, marketing materials, and managed all resources including personnel and technology equipment.  In 2010, after selling the business, I earned an MA in Teaching and a Texas teaching certification for elementary grades as well as a Technology Apps certification for all grade levels. I taught various Web Design and Digital Graphics classes for 4 years in Aledo High School where I won the Marva Collins New Teacher of the Year Award. Most recently I served the FWISD education community for almost 4 years as a Digital Learning Specialist. In this role I helped administrators, teachers and students leverage technology to improve learning outcomes and create a more engaging and empowering learning environment.

I have been an MIE Expert and a certified Google Trainer for the last 3 years. I am also a Certified Pear Deck Coach, a Certified Apple Teacher, an Adobe Creative Educator and a Wakelet Ambassador.
