Lisa Simmons

Lisa has 19 years of experience in education and instructional technology. She is passionate about education and has a wide range of experience from fine arts, special education, technology, administration, and the classroom. In her previous district, she trained and worked with administrators and educators to build 21st Century Classrooms and integrate technology into the district curriculum.

As an MIE Expert and Master Trainer, Lisa prepared and delivered technology integrated professional learning to numerous districts around the nation. She has been the lead Trainer for 20 of the two-day Microsoft Innovative Educator Trainer events in the United States and conducted numerous Teacher Academies and conference sessions, training teachers on how to use OneNote, Office Mix, Skype, 21st Century Learning Design, Windows 10, and MICs.

As a Microsoft Fellow, Lisa worked with Microsoft for 2016-2017 focusing on sharing her expertise and leading the way through Microsoft’s Strategic Professional Learning engagements working with some of Microsoft’s top accounts. Currently, Lisa is Coordinator for Professional Learning with NCCE and focusing on Microsoft’s Professional Learning Partnerships, as well as, mentoring professional learning specialist.
