Merry Hofmeister, Ed.S.
I am passionate about helping teachers find ways to engage their students and maximize the learning opportunities in their classroom. Technology use should enhance the productivity and experience for teachers and students. I am highly qualified to teach all subjects in K- 5. I also have a Masters in Educational Technology and a Specialist in Technology Management and Administration. I have been a Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator since 2014, and a Minecraft Global Mentor since 2018. I currently serve as the MIEE Fellow, leading Cohort 8. I am a Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Alumni, having spent 6 months in New Zealand working on a project to facilitate global classroom connections. I am a former Teacher of The Year, the 2014 Museum of Aviation National STEM Teacher of the Year, and a 2011 ISTE Emerging Leader Awardee.
I have 15 years’ experience in the classroom, having taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, and serving as a K-5 STEM Enrichment Specialist. I also have served as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Price School of Education since 2016, teaching Science and Technology classes to preservice Educators. Since 2018, I have served at the district level as an Instructional Technology Specialist, training Preschool – High School Teachers and staff on a variety of technology tools and strategies.
