Professional Learning Specialist
Monica Crane M.A.Ed.
Monica Crane has enjoyed working with her NCCE family as a Professional Learning Specialist for the past 4 years and is excited for future opportunities to share her passion for educational technology and learn from fellow educators.  Monica is a teacher in Fort Bend ISD in Sugar Land, Texas. She is part of the Career and Technical Education team and her courses allow her to utilize Office 365 and a wide variety of multi media and web 2.0 tools on a daily basis! Prior to that she was a Digital Learning Specialist (DLS) working with secondary campuses around her district. She began teaching in Fort Bend in 2009 – 3 years teaching 8th Grade Technology Applications and 2 years teaching AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). In 2014, she received her Master’s in Education Degree with a focus on Instructional Technology and is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.
Her goals as a teacher are to continuously seek new ways to use technology, to keep the campus focus on how technology can make the learning more engaging, relevant and rigorous for students, and to give teachers support in navigating the vast field of technology applications and devices,
When not at work, Monica loves spending time with her 2 kids! She also has a passion for fostering dogs, and loves volunteering, traveling, cooking, and hanging out with her kids and friends.
