Nicole Caldwell

Nicole Caldwell is a 4th grade ELA teacher at Schwarzkopf Elementary. In the recent years, she has been dedicated to increasing her knowledge in the field of educational technology and integrating various technological tools and resources daily into her classroom. Currently, Nicole is a Project Innovate Team Member which provides her with the opportunity to give her students a 1:1 digital environment in her classroom, where each student has a laptop/tablet computer. She also holds multiple certifications including that of a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.  

These certifications and experience have provided Nicole with opportunities to train other teachers around the Hillsborough County School District and beyond. She has been invited by Hillsborough County’s IT department and Technology Training Team to provide trainings to teachers at the Summer Microsoft Institute and our Power 3 Tech Institute where teachers were exposed to various tools that can be used with their students. Nicole also was invited to travel from Tampa, Florida to Portland, Oregon through the MIE Expert Travel Program to deliver a presentation titled, “Bringing Inquiry Learning to the 21st Century Classroom” with Jenna Dawson and Megan Lipinczyk at NCCE 2017 (Northwest Council for Computer Education). 

She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education (2010) and an M.Ed. In Educational Leadership and Policy (2015) from the University of South Florida. She has a passion for integrating purposeful technology into her classroom to make learning engaging and relevant for our students living in a digital world.
