Joe Dockery makes sure his students work on real world projects through partnerships he’s developed with local businesses and organizations throughout the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington state. He’s an Adobe Education Leader and has inspired educators coast to coast as they integrate technology tools and resources into the arts and media curriculum. He’s received the Washington State Golden Apple Award, Radio Shack’s Technology Teacher of the Year Award, both the “Best of the Best’ and “Making IT Happen” awards from ISTE, and the Adobe Education Leader “Impact” Award.

Learn how to use the free Adobe Spark applications to increase communication across your school. Bring your laptop, chromebook or iPad to get hands-on experience completing a communication challenge. You will walk away with ideas how your staff and students can use these tools to communicate and collaborate effectively.

Adobe Character Animator: Bring Your Designs to Life

Explore how easy it is to bring animations to life using Character Animator. This relatively new app from Adobe uses a webcam, a mouse and keyboard shortcuts to quickly record a performance. We will modify a simple puppet, record a performance and then bring it into After Effects to complete the scene.

Adobe Spark lets anyone create beautiful videos, web pages, and graphics. The apps are fun, engaging, accessible across devices, free for education, and actively encourage creative expression and digital literacy. We will focus on producing video content for your lessons in this course.
