Aaron Hubler, M.A.
Aaron Hubler is a Regional Digital Integration Specialist supporting schools in the West Ada School District, the largest district in Idaho. As a classroom teacher he worked on implementing the use of technology into his classes to help engage students in taking ownership of their learning, assessing students in formative and summative ways, and having students create projects and products that highlighted their understanding of science. Aaron is excited to be part of the Digital Integration Team to assist teachers in using technology in effective and useful ways to help engage and push students to work toward their potential. His desire is to help teachers and students use digital tools to enhance the learning environment rather than the tools becoming an obstacle to the amazing work already being achieved.
Aaron has over 20 years of teaching experience at the middle school level. He earned both a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys hanging out with his wife and two teenage children. He plays basketball three mornings a week and loves the outdoors!
Adam Blair
I started out teaching middle school English Language Arts in Central Florida. In just my first year of teaching, nearly 85% of my students scored at or above proficiency on their writing exams. After moving into a high school, my English students continued to excel, with the highest standardized test scores in the school. In just my fifth year teaching, every single student in my class exceeded the state requirement in writing on the standardized test. I was tasked with creating a new Career and Technical Education program in the largest high school in our district, which focused on employability skills, ethical workplace behaviors, financial implications of work as well as other soft skills needed to be successful at work. I was also tasked with coordinating and managing nearly 100 students who were involved with the on-the-job training program at the school.
In my current role, as a Personalized Learning Leader I provide a multitude of trainings on various platforms which range from basic use of Microsoft products for daily administrative use, to looking for ways to go paperless in your classroom utilizing Microsoft Teams and the Office Suite to make things more efficient.
Amy Armstrong
I have been in education for 20 years in the Boise area, 7 of those years were in the high school ELA classroom and the rest have been as a teacher librarian at a middle school in the West Ada School District. Being a teacher librarian is my dream job. I love talking to students about books and I love helping find success with reading.
As a teacher librarian, I am able to work with students on skills like how to evaluate a website, using databases, and learning about digital literacy and citizenship. I work with teachers on incorporating books and new ideas into their lessons about novels and independent reading.
I received my Bachelors in English Teaching and my Masters in Educational Technology from Boise State University. I have worked hard to be able to lead my staff through professional development and as a building leader. I have served on several district committees that give me a view of the bigger picture of education and learning.
Andrew Pemberton
Andrew Pemberton is an instructional designer from Jacksonville, Florida. Described as a “force multiplier,” Andrew finds great fulfillment in collaborating with others to design, develop, and improve learning experiences. He considers being a conduit of knowledge in any student’s educational journey both a privilege and an honor—something worth doing. To Andrew, something worth doing should be done to the best of one’s abilities.
Andrew has worked in the higher education and government industries. In his current role as an instructional designer at Jacksonville University (JU), collaborates with university faculty to design, develop, and implement effective learning solutions for both undergraduate and graduate programs. He also offers learning consultations and workshops to faculty who want to discuss their teaching methodology or reimagine existing assignments and assessments. He is one of the few people at JU responsible for overseeing the learning management system, with tasks including course design, ensuring course accessibility, and resolving technical difficulties. Before JU, Andrew designed training materials and courseware for clients such as the U.S. Navy, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Cellebrite, and a local law firm.
Andrew has long felt that higher education is his home and calling. Before AHA, he enjoyed a successful stint at the University of North Florida (UNF), where he trained to become a historian and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history, with additional coursework in education. Andrew worked closely with undergraduate students, tutoring them in US history and academic writing. He published two articles on environmental history in peer-reviewed academic journals: “Invading Eden: Exotic Pets and Invasive Species in South Florida” (Florida Historical Quarterly, 2020) and “Of No Safe Harbor: North American Maroons and Their Environment” (Florida Conference of Historians Annals, 2020). He also participated in an ongoing historical project on the historic Red Hill Cemetery in Waycross, Georgia, where he used Geographic Information Systems techniques to create an interactive map of the cemetery, identifying forgotten, unrecognizable graves.
Currently, Andrew is working on his Ed.D degree in Instructional Systems and Performance Technology at Florida State University. His research interests include combating misinformation and disinformation in university courses, digital literacy, and the ethical use of artificial intelligence in higher education.
Andrea Tolley, M.A.Ed.
When people hear that I teach middle school students, many times their first comment is, “I feel sorry for you!” I sometimes feel where the comment comes from, however, I thoroughly enjoy teaching middle school students. They love you one day and think you are crazy the next. It’s ok because they are lovable one day and crazy the next! It’s a vicious cycle that keeps life interesting!
After earning my undergraduate degree in in K-8 education, I went back in 2006 to get my Master’s in Administration. I am currently working on a certification in Library Media. I have been teaching at Greeneville Middle School in Greeneville, Tennessee since August 2002. I served 12 years as a 7th grade ELA teach with 9 of those years being the 7th grade team leader as well, 1 year in 6th grade as an ELA teacher and team leader, and the remainder of my time at GMS I have been teaching on the Related Arts team in the Microsoft Imagine Academy. I was tasked with staring the Imagine Academy and making it what it is for our school. It has been a learning process, but a life changing experience. I also lead the process of having our school recognized as a Microsoft Showcase School. We have kept that recognition each year since 2017.
My great passion is helping others to learn what they didn’t think they could accomplish. I am always looking to learn new things and help others as well. A life changing experience for me was becoming an MIEExpert. It helped me expand my knowledge and branch out and learn even more than I knew prior to becoming one. I have since helped others in my school building join the community and reap the benefit of the community. It is my goal to help others become lifelong learners. I truly believe that no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care! This is especially true for students.

Jenni Roach
Through teaching in the brick-and-mortar school, I became more aware of the necessity of online education and technology because of the technological world that my students live with on a day-to-day basis. I see technology as an opportunity for advanced students to finish school quicker and learn valuable tools for future careers, and I also see an opportunity for students with health problems, or other situations that cause students to be home-bound, to now have a chance to finish their degree.
My areas of expertise include: integrating technology into the classroom, WordPress, vlogs, blogs, YouTube, the Google Suite, technical writing, and bridging the gap between professional and educational technology.
