NCCE’s annual conference always brings a diverse lineup of outstanding featured speakers and NCCE 2018 is no different. The featured speakers for NCCE 2018 bring first hand experience in being a classroom teacher, library media specialist, administrator, technology director, and educational entrepreneur. There is definitely something for everyone at this year’s conference. Sylvia Duckworth

Sylvia Duckworth lives in Toronto, Canada, and has been a teacher in the elementary system for more than 30 years. She uses technology to empower student voice and is particularly drawn to ways that it can be used for collaboration and creativity in the classroom. Heather Lister

Heather Lister teacher-librarian with a passion for making and innovation. Previously a school librarian, she is now an educational consultant with Mackin Educational Resources. She holds degrees in Library Science and Instructional Technology and certificates in Mathematics and School Administration. She is on a mission to abolish the stereotype of libraries and librarians. Brian Casey

Dr. Brian Casey is the Director of Technology for the Stevens Point Area Public School District in Wisconsin. He has worked for over 20 years as a classroom teacher, technology integration coach and administrator and  has offered professional development for educators on educational technology, data privacy, social media and cyber security.   He is responsible for supervising all technology staff, Integration Specialists and Library Media specialists and also works with District leadership team to create a shared vision for using technology in teaching for 7,300 students and 500 staff members. He has extensive experience providing  leadership and collaborating with colleagues on state and local initiatives such as  the Digital Learning Advisory Council, WiscNet, Wisconsin Educational Technology Leaders board (WETL) and the Wisconsin Technology Initiative (WTI).
