The Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE) and its partners were proud to participate in a series of engaging sessions and workshops at the Idaho Education Technology Association (IETA) 2025 conference, held from February 5th to 7th in Boise, Idaho. The IETA conference is pivotal for Idaho’s K-12 public school technology administrators and staff. Its annual goal is to promote, sustain, and enhance the use of technology in education, ultimately benefiting Idaho’s students. 

This year’s conference featured various activities, including informative breakout sessions, hands-on training, and insightful keynote speakers. Attendees also explored the exhibit hall, where over 90 vendors showcased the latest educational technology.

  • Crafting Cybersecurity: Empowering Education with Cyber in Minecraft 

Thursday, February 6th 

  • Cybersecurity Basics for Educators: A Day in the Life of a Hacker 
  • Transforming Computer Science Education in Idaho with ‘Coding in Minecraft’ 
  • Decrypting Cybersecurity: Hands-On Learning with the CYBER.ORG Range 

Friday, February 7th 

  • Get Hands-On with ‘Coding in Minecraft’ 
  • Bridging Languages with Tech: A Multilingual Toolbox 
  • Navigating Ethics and Bias in AI 

Through these workshops, NCCE aimed to provide Idaho educators with hands-on experience in cybersecurity, computer science, and AI literacy while fostering collaboration and discussion about emerging technology trends in education.
