Each year, the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE) brings together hundreds of educators, administrators, and technology leaders to explore the latest innovations in education. This year, NCCE 26 will be held February 25–27, 2026, at the Seattle Convention Center, and it promises to be our most dynamic conference yet.

If you’re an educator passionate about technology, teaching, and student success, this event is designed for you. Here are the top reasons why you can’t miss NCCE 26:

1. Inspiring Keynote Speakers

Our keynote speakers are always one of the highlights of our conferences, and this year’s lineup is no different, packed with thought leaders and pioneers who will energize and challenge your perspective on teaching and learning. This year, we are proud to feature opening keynote speaker Bushra Amiwala, one of the youngest elected officials in the United States and a powerful voice for Gen Z leadership and education. Her story of activism, resilience, and innovation will inspire educators to think differently about how we empower the next generation.

In addition, Thuan Nguyen from AVID will present our closing keynote. Thuan Nguyen is the President and CEO of AVID Center, where he has led transformative initiatives since 2022, following previous roles as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. A former refugee from Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen credits public education and dedicated educators for shaping his life and is committed to expanding opportunities for all students. A beloved Pacific Northwest educator with deep local roots, he brings over 20 years of leadership experience and has earned national recognition for innovation and impact.

2. Hands-On Learning Experiences

NCCE 26 is not just about listening; it’s about doing. With hundreds of breakout sessions, workshops, and extended learning opportunities, attendees can dive deep into the tools and practices that matter most in today’s classrooms.

Whether you’re interested in AI, STEM integration, digital equity, or classroom management, you’ll find sessions tailored to your needs. Many of these sessions are led by classroom educators, meaning you’ll gain real-world strategies you can apply immediately when you return to your school districts.

3. Networking and Professional Community

One of the most valuable aspects of attending NCCE 26 is the opportunity to connect with like-minded educators. Over three days, you’ll meet colleagues from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond who are grappling with the same issues and exploring the same innovations in educating today’s youth.

From hallway conversations to evening networking events, NCCE fosters a collaborative atmosphere where new professional relationships and partnerships can take root, giving you access to a broader community of educators to inspire you and collaborate with you.

4. Access to the Latest EdTech Tools

The NCCE Exhibit Hall is always a highlight of the conference, featuring dozens of vendors showcasing the latest educational technologies. This is your chance to test out new tools, ask questions directly to developers, and explore solutions that could transform your teaching or school systems.

5. Professional Growth and Recognition

NCCE 26 is not only about exploration and resources; it’s also about professional growth. Attendees can earn clock hours and university credit, ensuring that your time at the conference advances both your practice and your professional development goals.

The conference will also spotlight outstanding educators through awards celebrating innovation, leadership, and impact in the field. By giving you the opportunity to nominate colleagues, the conference offers a great opportunity to be not just an attendee, but an active participant in the exciting EdTech developments occurring throughout the Pacific Northwest.

6. Experience Seattle

Held at the Seattle Convention Center, NCCE 26 is set against the backdrop of one of the most vibrant cities in the country. Between sessions, you’ll be steps away from world-class restaurants, cultural landmarks, and iconic sites like Pike Place Market and the Puget Sound waterfront. It’s the perfect setting to learn, collaborate, and recharge, setting you up to finish the academic year enthused and inspired.
