Last week, the Mid–Willamette Education Consortium (MWEC) Rally in Oregon was abuzz with excitement as Kelly Williams and the NCCE Professional Learning Specialist team took the stage. Their mission? To empower educators with the knowledge and tools to harness the power of AI to develop robust and engaging lesson plans. 

A Day of Learning and Fun 

Kelly kicked off the morning with an interactive workshop, demonstrating how AI can streamline lesson planning, personalize learning experiences, and enhance student engagement. The educators were not only learning but also having a blast, as the team infused the session with fun activities and real-world examples. 

According to Kelly Williams, NCCE Professional Learning Specialist, “I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Ed Woods, at the MWEC Rally in Salem, Oregon. His leadership and vision were truly inspiring, and it was a pleasure to contribute to such a dynamic and impactful event.  

AI-Powered Teacher Tips 

Here are a few tips on how teachers can leverage AI shared during the session: 

  1. Personalized Learning Paths: Use AI tools to analyze student performance data and create customized learning paths that cater to individual student needs. 
  1. Automated Grading: Implement AI-powered grading systems to save time on assessments and provide instant feedback to students. 
  1. Interactive Content Creation: Utilize AI to develop interactive and multimedia-rich content that can make lessons more engaging and accessible.

The excitement doesn’t end in Oregon! Kelly Williams and the NCCE team are gearing up for the largest ed tech conference, NCCE 25, in Seattle, WA, February 26-28, 2025.
