Share with us – what is one new initiative you are working on in your district?
Currently, my district is involved in a large technology integration initiative. This initiative involves providing computers as well as technology coaches to teachers. Instead of simply provided computers to schools, my district is now providing coaching with the computers. In order to get the computers, the teachers have to apply for the program. By having teachers willing to work with coaches on a weekly basis in order to integrate technology into the curriculum, we are seeing huge amounts of growth in a short time.
What is one strategy you use to have a more productive workday? Do not over plan. It is really easy to create a to-do list that you can never finish. By planning for an amount that can be reached, I tend to feel better about the day and in turn get even more done.
When you “unplug” – what do you like to do?
I love to hike, run or ride my bike.
