The countdown is on! NCCE 26 is coming to the Seattle Convention Center, February 25–27, 2026, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome educators, administrators, and EdTech leaders from across the country to the heart of the Pacific Northwest. While the conference itself is packed with inspiring keynotes, hands-on summits and workshops, and a vibrant exhibit hall, part of the magic of NCCE is experiencing everything Seattle has to offer.
To help you make the most of your trip, here are some practical tips for attending the conference and exploring one of the most dynamic cities in the U.S.
Getting There and Getting Around
The Seattle Convention Center is conveniently located in downtown Seattle, making it accessible whether you’re arriving by air, train, or car.
- From the Airport: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is about 14 miles from downtown. Light rail is a budget-friendly option that takes you directly into the city, while rideshares and shuttles offer convenience.
- Public Transit: Seattle’s buses, light rail, and streetcars make it easy to get around without a car. Consider picking up an ORCA card for seamless travel.
- Walking Friendly: With the Convention Center right in the heart of the city, there are plenty of hotels, restaurants, and attractions within easy walking distance. However, dress warm and bring an umbrella, because Seattle can be cold and wet in February!
Where to Stay
There are plenty of nice hotels in the area; but NCCE has partnered with two premier hotels to accommodate conference guests in order to make your stay in Seattle especially convenient and affordable. Attendees can take advantage of special per diem room rates at:
- Hyatt Regency Seattle – Just steps from the Convention Center, this modern hotel offers comfort and easy access to all conference events.
- Hyatt at Olive 8 – Known for its eco-friendly design and upscale amenities, this boutique hotel is located within a short walk of the venue.
Rooms in the NCCE housing block are already available, so be sure to book early to secure the best rates and reserve a room before they’re all gone. If you’re bringing a group that requires two or more rooms, NCCE can help arrange the lowest possible pricing in Seattle.
Must-See Seattle Experiences
While NCCE 26 will keep you busy, carve out a little time to explore the city or stay an extra day or two to enjoy some of the best Seattle has on offer:
- Pike Place Market: Just over half a mile away from the Convention Center, this iconic destination is home to fresh seafood, unique shops, and the famous fish toss. No trip to Seattle is complete without a visit to this famous center of Seattle’s foodie culture.
- Seattle Art Museum (SAM): Also a short walk away from the convention center, SAM is a great cultural stop for an afternoon break, featuring global collections and rotating exhibits.
- The Waterfront and Seattle Aquarium: This aquarium features exhibits highlighting Pacific Northwest marine life. Located on Puget Sound with beautiful vistas, try to take advantage of a clear day to stroll over to the aquarium.
- Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass: Take the monorail from the Seattle Convention Center to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden to take in sweeping views of the city and discover stunning glass artwork.
- Coffee Culture: As the birthplace of Starbucks and a haven for local roasters, Seattle is a coffee lover’s dream.
